These two unique ceramic pieces were kindly donated to Cancer and Polio Research Fund by Jeremy Leach, grandson of the late world-famous potter Bernard Leach CH CB.  Designed by the latter, the Tenmoku stoneware jugs were executed by his grandson at Lowerdown Pottery in Bovey Tracey, Devon.  They are currently being offered for sale.

The ten members of the Broxbourne University of the Third Age Creative Writing and Poetry Group have produced the book "Telling Tales", which is on sale for £3.00. The stories and poems in it embrace both fact and fiction.  It's an ideal bedside book, something to dip into when you don't want a long read.  Launched on 26 November 2009, all profits from the sale of it are being kindly donated to Cancer and Polio Research Fund.  It can be purchased from Books@Hoddesdon or  by contacting jbeck@waitrose.com.
